I'm sorry that you're retired. You are not at all old in my eyes and you are still so qualified to teach the course.

I think it's melodious and a kind of relaxation. It's so happy when i'm listining to Jazz but overwhelming when the sleepy emotion. It's always making happy in sleeping because of its sound. I actually don't like jazz, it's the sound from the ancestor, I think.

The slow song is never my favorite. And my love kind of song which 's my favorite it HipHop..! In my personal emotion, I listen to it when I want to relax and normally before I take a sleepy.

Roosevelt and the New Deal

In the summer of 1932, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Governor of New York, was nominated as the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party. In his acceptance speech, Roosevelt addressed the problems of the depression by telling the American people that, "I pledge you, I pledge myself, to a new deal for the American people." In the election that took place in the fall of 1932, Roosevelt won by a landslide.

The New Deal Roosevelt had promised the American people began to take shape immediately after his inauguration in March 1933. Based on the assumption that the power of the federal government was needed to get the country out of the depression, the first days of Roosevelt's administration saw the passage of banking reform laws, emergency relief programs, work relief programs, and agricultural programs. Later, a second New Deal was to evolve; it included union protection programs, the Social Security Act, and programs to aid tenant farmers and migrant workers. Many of the New Deal acts or agencies came to be known by their acronyms. For example, the Works Progress Administration was known as the WPA, while the Civilian Conservation Corps was known as the CCC. Many people remarked that the New Deal programs reminded them of alphabet soup.

By 1939, the New Deal had run its course. In the short term, New Deal programs helped improve the lives of people suffering from the events of the depression. In the long run, New Deal programs set a precedent for the federal government to play a key role in the economic and social affairs of the nation.

“The Long Walk Home”

This is also one of the movies to show the serious social discrimination based on race, color, religion or national origin between the black people and white people in the period of civil right. And this is a great problem against black people and poor people who are not accepted by the society. It affects to the entire society. For example, the segregation means separate schools for blacks and whites.
Whoopi Goldberg (Hollywood actress) acts as the best representation of the black people. This movie is a very good presentation of the social discrimination. This is an interesting movie which does take a while to get going. And it told a story that black people rarely get to see in such their powerful to the right of human.

“Proud”

The movie “Proud” based on the true story of the men from the USS Mason during World War II. I admire Lorenzo who a young black man. He is a hero who is brave and used many tactics to fight and protected themselves and their world but their country disregard them. Because of his courage it makes everyone remember the USS Mason. “Proud” is one of those films that resonate with truth. The story told that you rarely get to see in such honesty and brave. Anyway it is long way from boring.

“Jack Dempsey”

In my opinion, “Jack Dempsey” is a boxer who stays in the Great Depression period success also came from his strong effort and talent in boxing that's why he become the legend of the American boxer. And his point was survive in the real world while it was happening many bad situation which the stock market crashed and the nation plunged into the "Great Depression" and ass the banks went down. Many people of Americans faced of Unequal distribution of wealth and Stock market speculation, dust bowl, Unemployment, Hunger who lost everything.
This movie is exemplification of aspiration to survive. His endeavor was becoming the champion of the world heavyweight title between 1919 and 1926 who the legend of the American boxer.

“Windtalkers”

The movie “Windtalkers” is about American history in World War II. Nicolas Cage acts as Bez who is a wind talker Indian in war. He used the Indian code or Navajo language to communicate in war. It can help to secret information and protect the code from enemy. American can win the day through wind talkers because the enemy didn’t know the meaning of Navajo language. Therefore American has more benefit than Japanese.
I want to see this movie because it is acting by Nicolas Cage (Hollywood actor) who is one of the great actors of our time. This is a movie worth owning if you want to learn something about World War II especially the battle scenes, more accurate and memorable. And this movie beats to love their country.

“12 Days of Christmas Eve”

Calvin Carter is a high potency businessman who takes aim to his business. He ignores his engagement with her girlfriend and his son includes his family too. On Christmas Eve day, he continued his business with Ms. Frias all day. While he is bliss with his business, he was death with impossible accident. After that he wakes up in a hospital bed and he found that he still fine. With peculiarly, he falls asleep and wakes up again on Christmas Eve day and dies again. It just like complicated for find the truly perfect day in12 days
Christmas Eve means the day before Christmas that is the biggest holiday in the United States. The cultural aspects of an American Christmastime that I saw the family in the party with Christmas tree, food, dessert, candy tree, the presents from their relatives and their neighborhoods. Before the Christmastide, they were preparing the presents and Christmas card to exchange the others. And their children were prepared Christmas stocking at the bottom of their bed for Santa Claus gave the present. I feel that they were enjoyed and happiness for their Christ was born.

“Gone to Texas”

Sam Houston is the borderline hero and statesmanlike man whose courage and imagery led to the creation of Texas. His occupation is public officer of Tennessee ends in indignity and sorrow. He turns back to the delightful place of his boyhood among the Cherokee Indians. Houston perceives love with a part-Cherokee and honor as he negotiates peace among warring tribes. Then the U.S. Government destroys his triumph by coldly seizing the Cherokee land. In despair, he heads up to the Mexican territory of Texas to join his old friend Jim Bowie in an epic fight for the liberation of what will one day be the state of Texas.
In this period, the American cowboy and gunfighter hold a special place in the American cultural and value system. Those people were looked upon with such respect and admiration because they wanted to be a notable. They wanted acceptance from others. These are their behavior that indicated the American cowboy and gunfighter. They were respect and admiration to each others.

“A man called horse”

“A man called horse” It was about English aristocrat was captured by Indians. Then he would to be a part of Indians. After that he was accepted American cultural ideals and their traditions. Finally, he was becoming the leader of Indians.
From the great Western expansion between 1865 and 1893, the concept of Manifest Destiny entered American cultural ideals and traditions. In my opinion, he brave to do the thing that he should to do. And this movie can shows many cultures ideals of American

“Red badge”

“Red badge” was about Henry Fleming who wants to be enlisted. His mother didn’t want him to be enlisted. But he wishes to notable acceptance and honor from the others. So he wants to be a member of one of the fighting force, which is a soldier. In the first war, he was scared the war like his mother said about war. In the second war, he was run away from the war. Finally, the war was won and he was guilty because he didn’t do anything. Therefore, American Civil war solidified what American culture and values were lessons from Henry that we should to love our region and brave in the war.
In my opinion, the civil war considered to be the beginning of the modern American cultural and value system because events that I saw in my Civil war movie, “Red badge”. This movie is a good exemplification.
